Cabinet

The simple lines of the cabinet are enriched with a masterful handcrafted marquetry pattern that blends geometric motives with nature inspired decor.

Underwood Movement aspires to transform ethereal ideas into beautiful objects of design. We promote centuries-old craftsmanship techniques and projects them into the contemporary design scene.

The art of marquetry involves the use of thin veneers and layers of materials such as hardwood, shell, and ivory to create patterns and designs on objects. By cutting and fitting pieces together, skilled craftsmen give form to mesmerising images.

This cabinet, entirely handcrafted in Italy, is made by 7834 pieces of natural wood veneers.

Underwood Movement wants to add an entirely new dimension to the idea of ‘bespoke’.

Underwood Movement wants to add an entirely new dimension to the idea of ‘bespoke’. There is an essential human component in entrusting an artisan to produce an item, a personal touch that makes every piece different from any other one.
