Display Cabinet

A contemporary display cabinet featuring an inlaid floral motif that seems to emerges from the natural wood surface.

Underwood Movement aspires to transform ethereal ideas into beautiful objects of design. We promote centuries-old craftsmanship techniques and projects them into the contemporary design scene.

Inlaying is the process of inserting different materials into a base material. Each element is cut individually, and every artisan has their own process. It requires precision, attention to detail and patience, making it the perfect way to decorate flat surfaces with intricate and stunning designs.

In total, 2132 pieces of natural wood veneers are used in this display cabinet, made entirely by hand in Italy.

Underwood Movement wants to add an entirely new dimension to the idea of ‘bespoke’. There is an essential human component in entrusting an artisan to produce an item, a personal touch that makes every piece different from any other one.
